On Broadway, Daniel most recently played Mark Twain/Voice of Huck in the Deaf West/Roundabout production of Big River. Daniel was also fortunate enough to go on tour through the US and Japan with this production.

In 1985, he originated the role of Huck in Big River and received a Tony nomination for his performance. Other Broadway credits include Cliff in Wrong Mountain, Josh in Big and Prior in Angels in America.

For Encores!, Daniel appeared in Bye Bye Birdie as Albert Peterson and as Prez in Pajama Game.

Off-Broadway, Daniel was seen in Spinning into Butter at Lincoln Center,Tina Landau and Ricky Gordon's Dream True and Nicky Silver's Maiden's Prayer at the Vineyard Theatre (where he is a community member), Triumph of Love at CSC, Johnny Pye at the Lamb's Theatre and The Young Playwright's Festival at Playwright's Horizons.

Daniel wrote the music and lyrics for Feast Here Tonight and performed this piece (with book by his father, Ken) also at the Vineyard. (Note: Daniel first performed with his father in Big River in 1985, when Ken replaced Rene Auberjonois in the role of the Duke. Ken can now be seen on "Scrubs" on NBC.)

Some favorite regional credits include title roles in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Lee Blessing's Fortinbras, two years with the Actor's Theatre of Louisville, and 5 years at the Sundance Playwright's lab as well as a season at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre Conference.

On film, Daniel has been seen in Robert Altman's O.C. and Stiggs as O.C. Also for Robert Altman, he appeared as Willie in The Caine Mutiny Court Marshall on CBS and Stringer in Tanner '88 on HBO.

Other films: The Perfect You, Infested, Cradle Will Rock, Five Corners, Florida Straits, Glory and In Country.

Television: Law and Order: Criminal Intent, SVU, Cracker and Alex on Going to Extremes. Daniel can be heard on the recordings of Big River, Big and Cradle Will Rock.
